Bitcoin Miners for Turkey

What a Turkish buyer of Bitcoin mining hardware needs to plan for: the 230/400 V supply, cooling in climates from hot Mediterranean summers to severe eastern winters, and customs, product controls and VAT.

Voltage and electrical supply in Turkey

Turkey's mains supply is 230 V single-phase and 400 V three-phase at 50 Hz, according to the mains electricity table that draws on IEC data. Sockets are Type C and Type F. A Type F (Schuko) socket is rated 16 A, and a Type C Europlug only 2.5 A.

A large air-cooled miner drawing 3–3.6 kW takes roughly 13–16 A at 230 V: close to the 16 A rating of a Type F socket and far above a Type C plug. A household socket is therefore not the place for it. Each machine needs a dedicated 16 A or 32 A circuit, or an industrial socket on a properly sized distribution board.

Air-cooled miners with a 200–240 V input run from a single phase at 230 V. On a three-phase supply each phase to neutral is 230 V, so several units can be spread evenly across the three phases. Hydro-cooled miners built for 380–415 V three-phase connect line to line on the 400 V supply. For anything beyond a few machines, confirm the available capacity with the distribution company and have a licensed electrician design the installation.

Cooling for the Turkish climate

Turkey's climate is varied. The Mediterranean coasts have hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters (Köppen Csa), and Antalya's July and August mean daily maximum is 34.9 °C. The southeast is hotter still: Diyarbakır's July mean daily maximum is 38.9 °C in Turkish State Meteorological Service data. The central Anatolian plateau has hot, dry summers and cold, snowy winters; the State Meteorological Service classes Ankara as semi-arid, with hot summers and cool winters. The Black Sea coast is rainy, and extremely humid in the east. In the northeast, winter lows are routinely below −18 °C.

In the south and southeast, summer intake air can approach the limits in a miner's datasheet, so check the model and plan shading and generous airflow. On the Black Sea coast, guard against condensation. In the northeast, temper the winter intake with warm exhaust. No documented heat-reuse project in Turkey was found.

Rules for mining in Turkey

Turkey's crypto-asset law, Law No. 7518, was adopted on 26 June 2024 and took effect on publication in the Official Gazette on 2 July 2024. It amends the Capital Markets Law so that crypto-asset service providers, such as trading platforms and custodians, need the Capital Markets Board's permission to be set up and to operate. Its text does not mention mining. Since 30 April 2021 a central bank regulation has barred the direct or indirect use of crypto assets in payments, and payment and e-money institutions may not channel funds to or from crypto-asset platforms.

In December 2025 gendarmerie in the Hilvan district of Şanlıurfa seized 281 mining machines without invoices and an unauthorised transformer from a building made to look like a barn, detained two suspects, and the case was reported to the prosecutor.

As published by the sources listed below on the date they were checked. Rules change: confirm the current position with the authorities or a local adviser before you buy.

How purchasing works

Orders are handled the same way for every destination and scale with quantity:

  • 1–4 units: online checkout on products that show a price and a confirmed availability status.
  • 5–19 units: checkout or a volume quote.
  • 20 units and above: a wholesale quotation covering unit price, batch, freight and delivery terms.
  • 100 units and above, or a full site: handled by mining sales as a procurement project.

Where a product shows "Availability on request" or "Available", stock is not held in a warehouse; lead time is confirmed on your quotation.

Shipping to Turkey

Standard shipping to Turkey is free on every order. If you need it faster, choose express shipping at checkout and we quote it before payment is requested.

Importing into Turkey

Customs formalities fall to the Ministry of Trade. According to the U.S. Commercial Service, an importer needs only a tax number to import all but restricted items. Commercial shipments must be accompanied by a commercial invoice, a bill of lading or airway bill, a packing list and a certificate of origin.

The importer is responsible for paying VAT, which is 20% for most goods. Türkiye sometimes applies additional customs duties on certain products from specific countries, so the duty depends on the goods' origin as well as their classification.

The Ministry of Trade runs a risk-based control system, TAREKS, for safety and quality checks on imports, and its scope includes electrical and electronic equipment. Whether a given miner falls within these controls depends on its classification, so check with the customs broker before shipping. No official classification ruling for mining machines was found.

Infrastructure for larger deployments

Beyond a few machines, the miners are one line of the bill of materials. Transformers, switchgear, PDUs, racking, cooling and containers are specified around the miner model and the site's supply voltage, and can be quoted as one procurement scope.
