Listed miners by break-even electricity price

The power price at which each machine's estimated revenue equals its electricity cost today. A higher break-even leaves more margin at any given power price. It is a function of efficiency alone, so this ranking is also a ranking by J/TH.

Estimates, not a promise of earnings. Figures are calculated from the inputs shown, using network data as of 2026-10-28 12:00 UTC, and assume difficulty and price stay constant, which they do not. Hardware cost, cooling overhead, downtime, taxes and depreciation are not included.

About these estimates

How is the estimate calculated?

A miner earns the share of each day's newly issued coins that its hashrate is of the whole network's. For Bitcoin and Litecoin that is hashrate (H/s) × 86,400 × block reward ÷ (difficulty × 2³²); for Kaspa it is hashrate ÷ network hashrate × blocks per day × block reward. The result is reduced by your pool fee and uptime. Revenue is that amount at the coin price shown. Electricity cost is power (kW) × 24 × price per kWh. The net operating result is revenue minus electricity (and hosting, if entered).

Why will my real results differ?

Network difficulty retargets about every two weeks and has risen over time, the Bitcoin price moves constantly, and transaction fees vary block to block. A pool pays out according to its own scheme, machines run slightly above or below their rated hashrate, and real sites have downtime and cooling overhead. Treat the output as a snapshot under today's conditions, not a projection.

What does break-even electricity price mean?

It is the electricity price at which estimated revenue exactly equals electricity cost under the current network conditions. If your all-in power price is below it, the machine covers its electricity today; if it is above, it does not. It moves whenever difficulty or the Bitcoin price moves.

Does the calculator include the price of the miner?

No. It estimates operating results only. Recovering the purchase price depends on how difficulty and price evolve over the life of the machine, which nobody can know in advance, so the calculator does not present a payback period as if it were a fact.

How is electricity cost worked out, and what is energy use?

Energy is power (kW) × 24 hours × uptime: a 3,500 W machine running all day uses 84 kWh. Electricity cost is that energy at your price per kWh, plus any hosting fee per kWh you enter. A fixed hosting charge per machine is added on top. Quantity multiplies hashrate, power, revenue and cost alike.

What do the pool fee and uptime change?

A pool keeps a percentage of what you mine, so the pool fee reduces the coins and the revenue by that percentage; it does not change your electricity cost. Uptime below 100% reduces both the coins mined and the energy used, because a machine that is off neither earns nor draws power.

What are network difficulty and network hashrate?

They are two ways of stating how much mining power competes for each block. As more machines join, difficulty rises and the same miner earns a smaller share. The calculator uses the current figure and holds it constant, which is why a long period is a multiplication of today's result and not a forecast.

Which coins does the calculator cover?

Only coins for which the site has network figures from a source it has checked: Bitcoin (mempool.space), Litecoin (litecoinspace.org) and Kaspa (api.kaspa.org), each shown with its source and time. Litecoin can be chosen for a custom configuration; the estimate is then Litecoin only and leaves out the Dogecoin a Scrypt miner earns alongside through merged mining, so the listed Litecoin/Dogecoin miners are not given an estimate at all. Miners of other coins can be compared on their specifications but get no estimate.

What is the block reward figure?

For Bitcoin, the block subsidy (3.125 BTC since the April 2024 halving, falling by half every 210,000 blocks) plus the average transaction fees per block over roughly the last day. You can see both components under the results.
