Who is responsible for your data
Crypto Miners Direct LLC, 59-20 Borden Ave, Maspeth, NY 11378, United States. Contact: sales@cryptominersdirect.com or +1 (347) 669-4546.
Our representative in the European Union, under Article 27 of the General Data Protection Regulation, is Allen Kovich, 30 Limassol Avenue and Costa Anaxagora Corner, Strovolos CY-2014, Nicosia, Cyprus. You can contact the representative about anything relating to our processing of your personal data.
What we collect
- Orders and quote requests: name, company, email, phone, shipping address, order contents and correspondence.
- Accounts: email address and a salted, hashed password. We do not store plain-text passwords.
- Payments: we do not take card payments and do not collect card numbers. For bank transfers we record the amount, date, sending bank, bank transaction reference and any receipt you upload, with the IP address the receipt was sent from. For cryptocurrency payments we record the network, receiving address, amount and transaction reference.
- Newsletter: your email address, where on the site you signed up, and the wording you agreed to.
- Technical data: the cookies described below.
Why we use it
To process orders and quotations, arrange delivery, provide support and warranty handling, meet legal and tax obligations, prevent fraud, and improve the website.
Who we share it with
Payment providers, carriers and freight forwarders, and professional advisers, each only as needed for those purposes. The providers that run this website for us are Cloudflare (network delivery and security), Vultr (server hosting), Resend (sending email), Zoho (mailboxes) and Google (Google Analytics, as described under Cookies). We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
We are based in the United States. The website's database is hosted on a server in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Some of our providers process data in the United States: Cloudflare (network delivery and security) and Resend (sending email) do so under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses in their data processing agreements and under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Emails you send to us are stored by our mailbox provider, Zoho, in the United States. Google Analytics is used for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland only if they accept it; Google LLC transfers that data to the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, in which it participates.
How long we keep it
- Orders, invoices, payment records and transfer receipts: 7 years after the end of the tax year in which the order was placed. This covers the periods for which United States federal and New York State tax law require business records to be kept.
- Quote requests that do not lead to an order: 2 years after our last exchange with you.
- Accounts: until you ask us to close your account. Orders placed through it are kept as above.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We keep the record of your consent and of your unsubscribing, as evidence of both.
- Google Analytics data: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.
Records are kept longer only while they are needed for a dispute or a legal claim.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact sales@cryptominersdirect.com. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies
This website sets these cookies of its own, all needed for it to work: cart (identifies your cart, kept for 30 days), session (keeps you signed in to your account), admin_session (staff sign-in) and cookie_consent (remembers your choice about Google Analytics). Your browser also stores, on your device only, the miners you selected to compare and the currency you chose for display.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used. It sets two cookies, _ga (distinguishes visitors) and _ga_<ID> (keeps the state of a visit), each kept for up to 2 years, and sends Google the pages you view and what you do on them, such as opening a product or sending a quote request. Its advertising features are switched off, and pages of your account, your orders and payment links are never measured. No advertising cookies are set.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or we cannot tell where you are, Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept it in the cookie banner. Elsewhere it is loaded unless you decline it. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page; declining removes the Google Analytics cookies. Your choice is kept in a cookie, cookie_consent, for 6 months.
