About Ebang

Ebang traces its history to Zhejiang Ebang, which Dong Hu, now its chairman and chief executive, founded in January 2010. Zhejiang Ebang set up Ebang IT in August 2010 to develop and sell communications network access devices. The group began research on blockchain computing equipment in early 2014. Zhejiang Ebang was listed on China's National Equities Exchange and Quotations from August 2015 until March 2018, when it delisted ahead of a reorganization. The holding company, Ebang International Holdings Inc., was incorporated in the Cayman Islands on May 17, 2018, and its Class A shares began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol EBON on June 26, 2020. Its annual report for 2025 gives principal executive offices in Irving, Texas.

Besides mining hardware, Ebang runs a cryptocurrency exchange, Ebonex, launched in April 2021, and a cross-border payment and foreign exchange platform; it sells telecommunications products in China under the EBANG brand, and it entered renewable energy in Australia in November 2024 by acquiring Redback Technologies. The 2025 report says the company will continue to focus on renewable energy.

Ebang mining machines

The mining machines carry the Ebit brand and are designed primarily for Bitcoin. They combine ASIC chips Ebang designs itself with bought-in components; Ebang states it has developed 14nm, 12nm, 10nm, 8nm, 7nm and 6nm chips for Bitcoin algorithms. Its 2022 annual report lists sales of the Ebit E9, E10, E12 and E15 series.
