Warranty Policy
New equipment
New miners carry the manufacturer's warranty for that model. Its period, start date and terms are set by the manufacturer.
We raise warranty claims with the manufacturer on your behalf and keep you informed. The manufacturer decides the claim and carries out the repair or replacement.
Refurbished and used equipment
Certified Refurbished, Used Grade A and Used Grade B units are covered for 7 days from delivery against failure to power on, or to hash within 10% of the tested hashrate stated on the listing. Units sold For Parts / Repair have no warranty.
What voids a warranty
Manufacturer warranties commonly exclude damage caused by: operation outside the published voltage, temperature or humidity range; unofficial firmware or overclocking; removal of or damage to serial-number labels; liquid ingress or corrosion; lightning and power surges; and unauthorised repair. For hydro and immersion units, coolant outside the manufacturer's specification is commonly excluded. The manufacturer's own warranty terms are the authority.
How to claim
- Contact sales@cryptominersdirect.com or +1 (347) 669-4546 with the order number, the unit's serial number, a description of the fault and the miner's log.
- We confirm the claim and send you a return authorisation and the address to ship the unit to. You pay shipping to the service centre. Shipping of the repaired or replacement unit back to you is paid as the manufacturer's warranty terms provide for a new unit, and by us for a used or refurbished unit under the 7-day cover above.
- The remedy is a repair, a replacement part or board, or a replacement unit, as the manufacturer (for a new unit) or we (for a used or refurbished unit) decide. If neither repair nor replacement is possible, the price paid for the unit is refunded.
Downtime
Warranty covers the hardware. Lost mining revenue, and the cost of electricity or hosting while a unit is faulty or under repair, are not covered.
