About NerdMiner

The NerdMiner v2 is a free, open-source project, led by the developer BitMaker, that turns an ESP32 board into a small solo miner using the Stratum protocol. It is meant for learning how mining works rather than for earning rewards: the project gives about 250 KH/s and supports more than 23 ESP32 boards. Several independent developers have since published ASIC-based designs in the same Nerd family, which the project describes as built on the work of the Bitaxe project. Schematics, PCB layouts and firmware are public, and the ASIC boards share one firmware, NerdOS, based on ESP-Miner.

  • NerdQaxe+ and NerdQaxe++: four BM1368 chips (+) or four BM1370 chips (++); the ++ is rated 4.8–6 TH/s
  • NerdQX: four BM1370, 6–8 TH/s, with up to three fans or AIO liquid cooling
  • NerdOctaxe: eight BM1370, about 9.6–12 TH/s, an expert soldering build

Buying NerdMiner miners

Each NerdMiner listing shows the specifications recorded for that model. Where NerdMiner lists a model in several hashrate versions, each version has its own page because power draw and price differ.

Retail quantities can be ordered through checkout when a price and availability status are published. For volume, request a wholesale quote with the models and quantities you need; NerdMiner orders can be combined with other manufacturers in one quotation.
