Bitcoin Miners for Kyrgyzstan

What a Kyrgyz buyer of Bitcoin mining hardware needs to plan for: the 220/380 V supply, cold mountain winters, customs under the Eurasian Economic Union, and registered mining with winter power limits.

Voltage and electrical supply in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan's mains supply is 220 V single-phase and 380 V three-phase at 50 Hz, according to the mains electricity table that draws on IEC data. Sockets are Type C and Type F. A Type F (Schuko) socket is rated 16 A, and a Type C Europlug only 2.5 A. At 220 V a large air-cooled miner drawing 3–3.6 kW takes roughly 14–16.5 A, which can exceed the 16 A rating of a Type F socket, so each machine needs a dedicated 16 A or 32 A circuit or an industrial socket on a properly sized distribution board.

Air-cooled miners with a 200–240 V input run from a single phase at 220 V. On a three-phase supply each phase to neutral is 220 V, so units can be spread evenly across the three phases. Hydro-cooled miners built for 380–415 V three-phase connect line to line on the 380 V supply, at the bottom of their input range.

Grid supply to mining can be cut: in November 2025 the Energy Minister announced that all mining farms were being shut down because of an electricity shortage. Confirm the connection with the distribution company and have a licensed electrician design the installation.

Cooling for the Kyrgyz climate

Kyrgyzstan has a distinctly continental climate with large local variations. The average July temperature is about 27 °C in the Fergana Valley, and Bishkek's July mean daily maximum is 32.4 °C (1991–2020 data). Winters are severe in places: in mountain valleys readings can fall to −30 °C or lower, with a record of −53.6 °C, while the warmest January average, about −4 °C, is around Osh.

For air cooling, summer in the lowlands calls for generous airflow with hot exhaust kept away from the intake. Winter is the harder design case: outside air can be far below the minimum operating temperature manufacturers publish, so sites temper the intake by recirculating a share of warm exhaust and keep snow and moisture out of the airflow. No documented heat-reuse project in Kyrgyzstan was found.

Bitcoin mining in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is a small mining country. In April 2023, Luxor's Hashrate Index estimated from insider figures that Kyrgyz mining consumed about 80 MW and produced around 1.6 EH/s, about 0.5% of global hashrate. That is an estimate, not a measurement. The same article, citing published energy statistics, says about 90% of the country's electricity comes from hydropower and 10% from coal, and notes periodic rolling blackouts.

In November 2025 the president said the two legal farms, at Kemin and at the Kambar-Ata-2 hydropower plant, have a capacity of 30 MW each.

The Financial Market Regulation and Supervision Service reported that miners used about 213.3 million kWh in 2025. Their consumption fell to 5.7 million kWh in November and to zero in December, after the winter shutdown.

Rules for mining in Kyrgyzstan

Mining is legal but registered. Under the 2022 Law on Virtual Assets, as summarised by CABAR in December 2022, miners must register, have their own hardware and an active virtual wallet, have an adequate power supply on the premises, and pay an increased electricity rate. CABAR reported that the 2020 Tax Code set a mining tax of 15%, and in April 2023 Hashrate Index described it as a 15% tax on miners' electricity.

Amendments adopted by parliament on 4 December 2025 and signed by the president add the concepts of "state mining" and a "state cryptocurrency reserve". Registered individual entrepreneurs and legal entities may mine from the date they receive their certificate.

On 12 November 2025 the Energy Minister announced that all mining farms would be completely shut down because of the electricity shortage. Two days later, reporting the president's interview, Akchabar said only two legal farms were operating, both temporarily shut for the cold season.

How purchasing works

Orders are handled the same way for every destination and scale with quantity:

  • 1–4 units: online checkout on products that show a price and a confirmed availability status.
  • 5–19 units: checkout or a volume quote.
  • 20 units and above: a wholesale quotation covering unit price, batch, freight and delivery terms.
  • 100 units and above, or a full site: handled by mining sales as a procurement project.

Where a product shows "Availability on request" or "Available", stock is not held in a warehouse; lead time is confirmed on your quotation.

Shipping to Kyrgyzstan

Standard shipping to Kyrgyzstan is free on every order. If you need it faster, choose express shipping at checkout and we quote it before payment is requested.

Importing into Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and as such applies higher import tariffs to goods from outside the union than to goods from EAEU members. Customs clearance is handled by the State Customs Service, which its own website places under the Cabinet of Ministers.

The standard VAT rate is 12%, as stated by the U.S. Commercial Service in June 2026. According to Grant Thornton's indirect tax guide, VAT on imports must be paid by all companies, whatever their taxation regime. A separate sales tax applies to business turnover. Import duties depend on the goods' classification and origin. No official classification ruling for mining machines and no import permit requirement specific to them was found.

Infrastructure for larger deployments

Beyond a few machines, the miners are one line of the bill of materials. Transformers, switchgear, PDUs, racking, cooling and containers are specified around the miner model and the site's supply voltage, and can be quoted as one procurement scope.
