Miner comparison
Antminer S21 XP vs WhatsMiner M70S 248T
Both are air-cooled Bitcoin miners with the same 13.5 J/TH efficiency rating at 25 °C. Bitmain rates the Antminer S21 XP at 270 TH/s on 3,645 W; MicroBT lists the WhatsMiner M70S at 248 TH/s on 3,348 W. The S21 XP gives about 9% more hashrate for about 9% more power, so each terahash takes the same electricity by the published ratings. The S21 XP accepts 220–277 V AC at up to 20 A; the M70S power supply is specified for 220–240 V AC. The M70S is the smaller unit, 430 × 155 × 226 mm against 450 × 219 × 293 mm. Operating ranges differ: -20 to 45 °C for the S21 XP, -5 to 35 °C for the M70S. Bitmain rates the S21 XP at 76 dBA; MicroBT publishes no noise figure. MicroBT's datasheet gives the M70S as a range, 226–258 TH/s and 3,140–3,500 W. The table below and the calculator work out what these figures mean with current network data.
