Miner comparison

WhatsMiner M70S 248T vs WhatsMiner M60S++ 218T

The WhatsMiner M70S 248T is rated at 248 TH/s, 14% more than the WhatsMiner M60S++ 218T at 218 TH/s. The WhatsMiner M70S 248T is the more efficient at 13.5 J/TH against 15.5 J/TH, so it uses 13% less electricity per terahash.

Both are air-cooled MicroBT WhatsMiner Bitcoin miners in the same 430 × 155 × 226 mm housing, with power supplies for 220–240 V AC, an IEC C19 power cable rated for at least 16 A, 350 CFM airflow and a -5 to 35 °C operating range. MicroBT lists the M70S at 248 TH/s on 3,348 W (13.5 J/TH) and the M60S++ at 218 TH/s on 3,379 W (15.5 J/TH), both efficiency ratings at 25 °C. The M70S gives about 14% more hashrate on 31 W less power, so each terahash takes about 13% less electricity. MicroBT's datasheets give ranges of 226–258 TH/s and 3,140–3,500 W for the M70S, and 200–226 TH/s and 3,230–3,570 W for the M60S++. MicroBT publishes no noise figure for either. The table below and the calculator work out what these figures mean with current network data.
