Miner comparison
Antminer S23 XP Hyd. vs Antminer S21 XP Hyd.
Both are hydro-cooled (liquid-cooled) Bitmain Antminer XP models for SHA-256 (Bitcoin) mining, on the same three-phase 380–415 V AC supply drawing up to 12 A, with the same coolant requirements: 20–50 °C at the inlet, 8.0–10.0 L/min, at most 3.5 bar. Bitmain rates the S23 XP Hyd. at 600 TH/s on 5,340 W (8.9 J/TH) and the S21 XP Hyd. at 473 TH/s on 5,676 W (12 J/TH), both at 35 °C inlet coolant. The S23 XP Hyd. gives about 27% more hashrate on about 6% less power, so each terahash takes about 26% less electricity. It is also the larger and heavier unit: 409 × 176 × 208 mm and 15.8 kg net, against 339 × 173 × 207 mm and 13.8 kg for the S21 XP Hyd. Bitmain gives no noise figure for either. The table below and the calculator work out what these figures mean with current network data.

Green marks the better value in a row (higher hashrate; lower power, J/TH, noise, weight, price and electricity cost). Specifications are as recorded for each product; “—” means the value is not stated. Economics are estimates at network conditions of 2026-10-28, $0.06/kWh, 2% pool fee and 100% uptime, and are not a forecast of earnings.
