Description
A desktop solo-mining device that adds a Bitmain BM1397 ASIC chip (the chip used in the Bitaxe Max) to a NerdMiner. The ASIC lifts the hashrate well above that of an ESP32-only NerdMiner while the NerdMiner display and screens are kept. The chip is heavily underclocked so the whole device draws about 8 W and can run from a common USB port. It is an open-source design.
It is meant for learning and for solo "lottery" mining of SHA-256 coins; many large pools do not credit its low-difficulty shares.
