What the generation covers

MicroBT's own shop files all of these models under its "M60 Series" filter. Air-cooled: M60 at 160 TH/s and 19.9 J/TH, M60S at 184 to 188 TH/s and 18.5 J/TH, M60S+ at 200 TH/s and 17 J/TH, M60S++ at 218 TH/s and 15.5 J/TH. Immersion-cooled: M66 at 276 TH/s and 19.9 J/TH, M66S at 286 or 290 TH/s and 18.5 J/TH. Hydro-cooled: M63 at 372 TH/s and 19.9 J/TH, M63S at 408 TH/s and 18 J/TH, M63S++ at 464 TH/s and 15.5 J/TH. Across the models listed that is 160 to 464 TH/s and 15.5 to 19.9 J/TH.

How the versions differ

In this generation the M60 models are air-cooled, the M63 models hydro-cooled and the M66 models immersion-cooled. Each suffix step lowers the energy per terahash; in the air-cooled line it falls from 19.9 J/TH (M60) to 18.5 (M60S), 17 (M60S+) and 15.5 J/TH (M60S++), about 22% less from M60 to M60S++.

Announcement

MicroBT debuted the M60, M63 and M66 families at Blockchain Life 2023 in Dubai on 24 October 2023. It unveiled the M60S+ at Bitcoin2024 in Nashville on 26 July 2024, and the M60S++ and M63S++ at Bitcoin MENA 2024 in Abu Dhabi on 9 December 2024.
