Description
A GekkoScience desk mug warmer that heats its aluminum plate with the waste heat of a built-in Bitcoin miner. It keeps a drink warm, or warms a scented candle, while hashing on a mining pool, and is suited to solo "lottery" mining rather than steady pool income.
The unit works to a target temperature, not a target hashrate: it raises or lowers its hashrate to hold the plate at the set temperature, so the hashrate depends on how much heat the item on the plate absorbs. It has no fans; the metal upper half works as a passive heatsink. A built-in NanoPi computer running Debian Linux handles control, so other services such as a node can be installed on it.
