Jasminer X16 Series

The X16 series is Jasminer's successor to the X4: high-throughput servers for the Etchash and Ethash algorithms. Jasminer lists three quiet 3U models and one higher-output power server.

What the family covers

Jasminer rates its quiet models, all 3U servers of 445 × 132.5 × 443 mm and 10 kg, at 40 dB or less:

  • X16-Q Pro: 2,050 MH/s on 520 W (0.25 J/MH), 8 GB of memory
  • X16-Q: 1,950 MH/s on 620 W (0.32 J/MH), 8 GB
  • X16-QE: 1,650, 1,750 or 1,850 MH/s on 550 W, 6 GB

The X16-P power server is rated at 5,800 MH/s on 1,900 W (0.32 J/MH), with 8 GB, under 70 dB, 300 × 212 × 374 mm and 14 kg. All four are air-cooled and quoted at ±10% on hashrate and power. The quiet models accept 110–240 V and connect by Ethernet or Wi-Fi; the X16-P takes 200–240 V.

How the versions differ

The X16-Q Pro gives about 5% more hashrate than the X16-Q on about 16% less power. The X16-QE carries 6 GB of memory instead of 8 GB. The X16-P delivers almost three times the X16-Q's hashrate but is louder and needs a 200–240 V supply.

Announcement

Jasminer released the X16-Q on 26 November 2022, describing the X16 line as having ten times the chip performance of the X4, and said in May 2023 that its global launch and deliveries would start that June.

Choosing within the X16 generation

Models in one generation share a chip platform but differ in cooling type, hashrate and efficiency. Start with the cooling type your site supports, then compare efficiency and power draw between the versions listed above. Use the compare checkboxes to put two to four models side by side.
