What the family covers

FutureBit rates the Apollo III at 10 to 18 TH/s on 150 W (ECO mode) to 375 W (TURBO mode) at board level, ±10%, with efficiency quoted down to 13 W/TH from its 3 nm ASICs. It measures 6.5 × 6.5 × 6 inches, weighs 6.5 lb and runs under 35 dBA in ECO mode. The Apollo II, built on a 5 nm ASIC with an integrated 450 W power supply, is rated at 6 to 10 TH/s on 175 to 375 W, as low as 28 W/TH, in a 6.5 × 6.5 × 5.5 inch case.

How the versions differ

Full Node versions add a controller that runs a Bitcoin node, so the owner can solo mine to it or point other miners at it: an 8-core ARM computer with 8 GB of RAM and two NVMe SSD bays on the Apollo III, a 6-core ARM CPU with 4 GB of RAM on the Apollo II. They come without an SSD or with 1 TB or 2 TB. Standard versions are miners only: the Apollo III Standard has its own ARM controller, while the Apollo II Standard connects by USB to a PC, Raspberry Pi or first-generation Apollo. The Apollo II Founders Edition, an orange-cased Full Node, was limited to fewer than 1,000 units.

Choosing within the Apollo generation

Models in one generation share a chip platform but differ in cooling type, hashrate and efficiency. Start with the cooling type your site supports, then compare efficiency and power draw between the versions listed above. Use the compare checkboxes to put two to four models side by side.
