Canaan rates the Avalon Q at 90 TH/s (±5%) and 18.6 J/TH, drawing 1,674 W from an AC supply of 110–240 V at 50/60 Hz. Its published noise range is 45–65 dB, its working temperature −5 to 35 °C, and it connects over both USB and RJ45.
Canaan built the Avalon Q for home users: it supports 110 V household power, which Canaan says makes it the first professional-grade Bitcoin miner to do so, and its power consumption can be adjusted to suit a home electrical system. Control is through an app, and Canaan describes the unit as compact and quiet.
Canaan's March 2025 update says it introduced the Avalon Q in February 2025, and Canaan presented it at Mining Disrupt 2025 in a release dated 27 March 2025. It belongs to the Avalon Home series alongside the Nano 3/3S and Mini 3.
Models in one generation share a chip platform but differ in cooling type, hashrate and efficiency. Start with the cooling type your site supports, then compare efficiency and power draw between the versions listed above. Use the compare checkboxes to put two to four models side by side.
