Canaan Avalon Nano Series

What the series covers

Two models are listed: the Avalon Nano 3, which Canaan launched in December 2023, and the Avalon Nano 3S, launched at CES in Las Vegas in January 2025. Canaan groups both in its Avalon Home series of consumer mining devices, which it launched in 2024 and commercialised in 2025, alongside the Avalon Mini 3 and Avalon Q.

How the versions differ

Canaan rates the Nano 3S at 6 TH/s and 140 W. It calls the 3S an upgraded version of the original Nano 3, with a compact, portable design and nearly 50% more computing power than its predecessor. For the Nano 3, Canaan's releases highlight hand-warming, a wide range of colours and mobility.

Design

Canaan now presents the Nano 3S as a micro Bitcoin miner made for desktop placement, with quiet operation and portability, and suited to solo mining as an entry-level device.
