What the series covers

Canaan's annual report gives the A13 series a 2022 release, 110 to 130 TH/s and 25.0 to 30.0 J/TH, and its sales figures for the series mainly cover the A1326 and A1346. At launch Canaan rated the A1346 at 110 TH/s and 30 J/TH and the A1366 at 130 TH/s and 25 J/TH. Canaan's shop lists the immersion-cooled A1366I in two grades: 119 TH/s on 3,570 W (30 J/TH) and 122 TH/s on 3,570 W (29.2 J/TH). Both run on 200–300 V AC in transformer oil, with an inlet temperature of 20 to 50 °C and a flow of at least 12 L/min.

How the versions differ

The A1366 has the lowest J/TH among the models listed: against the A1346 it gives about 18% more hashrate (130 vs 110 TH/s) at about 17% less energy per terahash (25 vs 30 J/TH). The two A1366I grades draw the same power, so the 122 TH/s grade uses about 3% less energy per terahash.

Announcement

Canaan launched the A13 series on 24 October 2022 with the A1346 and A1366.

Choosing within the Avalon A13 generation

Models in one generation share a chip platform but differ in cooling type, hashrate and efficiency. Start with the cooling type your site supports, then compare efficiency and power draw between the versions listed above. Use the compare checkboxes to put two to four models side by side.
