Bitmain Antminer Z15 Series

The Antminer Z15 models are Bitmain's Equihash miners for Zcash (ZEC): the Z15, Z15j and Z15e, and the Z15 Pro, which Bitmain rates at 840 KSol/s and 3.31 J/KSol.

What the family covers

Bitmain's Z15 specification table lists three compact models drawing 1,510 W: the Z15 at 420 KSol/s (3.6 J/KSol), the Z15j at 320 KSol/s (4.7 J/KSol) and the Z15e at 200 KSol/s (7.5 J/KSol). Each measures 245 × 132.5 × 290 mm and weighs 5.9 kg net. The Z15 Pro (version 240-Z) is rated at 840 KSol/s on 2,780 W, or 3.31 J/KSol. It has 18 hash chips on three hash boards, runs on 200–240 V AC, measures 428 × 195 × 290 mm, weighs 16.9 kg net and is rated at 75 dBA. Bitmain names Zcash (ZEC) and Horizen (ZEN) as coins for the Z15 models.

How the versions differ

The Z15 Pro doubles the Z15's hashrate (840 vs 420 KSol/s) for about 84% more power (2,780 vs 1,510 W), so each KSol takes about 8% less energy (3.31 vs 3.6 J/KSol), the lowest figure in the family. The three 1,510 W models share one power rating and differ only in hashrate, so the Z15e uses about twice the energy per KSol of the Z15 (7.5 vs 3.6 J/KSol).

Choosing within the Antminer Z15 generation

Models in one generation share a chip platform but differ in cooling type, hashrate and efficiency. Start with the cooling type your site supports, then compare efficiency and power draw between the versions listed above. Use the compare checkboxes to put two to four models side by side.
