What the family covers

Bitmain publishes one T21 version (version 10) for SHA-256 mining of BTC, BCH and BSV, with two working modes. In Normal Energy Mode (NEM) it is rated at 190 TH/s on 3,610 W, or 19.0 J/TH; in High Energy Mode (HEM) at 233 TH/s on 5,126 W, or 22.0 J/TH, both at 30 °C inlet air. It runs on three-phase 380–415 V with a 12 A maximum input current, measures 400 × 212 × 290 mm, weighs 17.0 kg net and is rated at 76 dBA. The operating range is 0 to 45 °C.

How the modes differ

HEM gives about 23% more hashrate than NEM (233 vs 190 TH/s) for about 42% more power (5,126 vs 3,610 W), so each terahash takes about 16% more energy (22.0 vs 19.0 J/TH).

Announcement

Bitmain launched the T21 on 25 October 2023 at Blockchain Life 2023 in Dubai, rated at 190 TH/s and 19 J/TH. It said the machine adjusts automatically from NEM to HEM and works at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C.

Choosing within the Antminer T21 generation

Models in one generation share a chip platform but differ in cooling type, hashrate and efficiency. Start with the cooling type your site supports, then compare efficiency and power draw between the versions listed above. Use the compare checkboxes to put two to four models side by side.
