Bitmain rates the air-cooled S23 at 305 TH/s on 3,355 W (11 J/TH), with a 220–277 V single-phase input and 76 dBA at maximum fan speed. The hydro-cooled models are the S23 Hyd. (580 TH/s, 5,510 W, 9.5 J/TH), the S23 XP Hyd. (600 TH/s, 5,340 W, 8.9 J/TH), the S23e U2H (865 TH/s, 8,650 W, 10 J/TH) and the U3S23H (1,160 TH/s, 11,020 W, 9.5 J/TH). Across the models Bitmain publishes, that is 305 to 1,160 TH/s and 8.9 to 11 J/TH; the S23 XP Hyd. has the lowest J/TH among them.
The S23 Hyd. and U3S23H tables list 380–415 V three-phase power and coolant at 20–50 °C, at 8–10 L/min for the S23 Hyd. and 16–20 L/min for the U3S23H. The S23e U2H uses a standard 2U server form; the U3S23H measures 900 × 482.6 × 130 mm. The S23 XP Hyd. gives about 3% more hashrate than the S23 Hyd. (600 vs 580 TH/s) on about 3% less power (5,340 vs 5,510 W).
Bitmain showed the S23 Hyd. at Bitcoin Asia 2025 in Hong Kong (28–29 August 2025), launched the S23e U2H in January 2026 and launched the S23 XP Hyd. at WDMS Global 2026 in Hong Kong (27–28 August 2026).
Models in one generation share a chip platform but differ in cooling type, hashrate and efficiency. Start with the cooling type your site supports, then compare efficiency and power draw between the versions listed above. Use the compare checkboxes to put two to four models side by side.
