Bitmain Antminer L9 Series

The Antminer L9 is Bitmain's air-cooled Scrypt miner for LTC, DOGE and other Scrypt coins, released in June 2024. Bitmain also lists a hydro-cooled model carrying the L9 code, the U2L9H.

What the family covers

Bitmain's shop lists two models with the L9 code, both for Scrypt coins (Bitmain names LTC, DOGE, BEL, JKC, LKY and PEP). The air-cooled L9 is rated at 16 GH/s on 3,360 W, or 210 J/GH at 25 °C. It runs on single-phase 220–277 V AC with a 20 A maximum, measures 400 × 195 × 290 mm, weighs 14.2 kg net and is rated at 75 dBA. The U2L9H is a hydro-cooled server rated at 27 GH/s on 5,670 W, also 210 J/GH, measured at a coolant inlet temperature of 35 °C. It takes three-phase 380–415 V, measures 509 × 481 × 87 mm and accepts inlet coolant at 20 to 50 °C.

How the versions differ

The two models share one efficiency rating, so the difference lies in cooling and density: the U2L9H gives about 69% more hashrate (27 vs 16 GH/s) for about 69% more power (5,670 vs 3,360 W). Bitmain publishes a single hashrate grade for each.

Announcement

Bitmain released the L9 on 1 June 2024 at its ANTMINER Oasis event after Consensus 2024 in Texas, rated at 16 GH/s and 210 J/GH.

Choosing within the Antminer L9 generation

Models in one generation share a chip platform but differ in cooling type, hashrate and efficiency. Start with the cooling type your site supports, then compare efficiency and power draw between the versions listed above. Use the compare checkboxes to put two to four models side by side.
