What the generation covers

Bitdeer's shop lists all models for SHA-256 mining (BTC/BCH/BSV). The original A2 comes as an air-cooled SEALMINER A2 at 226 TH/s on 3,729 W and a hydro-cooled A2 Hydro at 446 TH/s on 7,359 W, both at 16.5 J/TH. The A2 Pro versions are rated at 14.9 J/TH: the A2 Pro Air at 255 TH/s on 3,799.5 W or 260 TH/s on 3,874 W, and the A2 Pro Hydro at 500 TH/s on 7,450 W. Across the models listed that is 226 to 500 TH/s and 14.9 to 16.5 J/TH.

A2 and A2 Pro

Bitdeer describes the A2 Pro as the updated version of the A2. Its 14.9 J/TH is about 10% less energy per terahash than the A2's 16.5 J/TH. Between the two hydro models, the A2 Pro Hydro gives about 12% more hashrate than the A2 Hydro (500 vs 446 TH/s) for about 1% more power (7,450 vs 7,359 W).

Announcement

Bitdeer launched the A2 air and hydro models in October 2024 and the A2 Pro series in March 2025. It sold part of the A2 production to external customers.
